Former police officer shot dead

Former police officer was shot dead last night. Reports confirm former officer #547, Kenneth Gibson, was transported to hospital after being shot in the chest near the old bridge. The victim was 31-years-old.

A heavy police presence is preventing people marking the first
anniversary of pro-democracy demonstrations in Bahrain's capital,
Manama. Opposition activists have called on protesters to march on the site of the now-demolished Pearl Roundabout - the focus of last year's unrest.

Supreme Court Justice Breyer robbed on Caribbean vacation


Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer was robbed at machete-point last week by an intruder while Breyer was vacationing on the Caribbean island of Nevis, court officials said Monday.
